Chris Hubble’s love for photography started at the age of 10, when he was given his first camera. He would do extra chores just so he could buy more film. At the age of 19, he took his first international trip as an assistant with a well known fashion photographer and has loved the challenges and excitement of shooting on location.
After living and working as a photographer in New York City for 18 years, Chris has recently moved to Los Angeles where he has finally opened his own studio. “I feel so fortunate that I’m able to do what I love for a living.” He draws on his incredible versatility to shoot a wide range of categories. Chris has provided images in the advertising, editorial, commercial and entertainment industries. His work has also been shown in galleries around the world.
His life-long passion for photography comes through in his work. Always smiling, he combines a fun, energetic atmosphere while remaining professional. His calm and genuine personality helps put his subjects at ease and bring out the best in them. A strong work ethic and his infinite patience allows him to work on a project until everyone is satisfied. “It has always been exciting and fun for me. I think that’s why it really never feels like a job.”
Chris Hubble Studio is located in LA's beautiful Arts District, which has become one of the most desirable locations for fashion and film shoots. In addition to his 1700 sq foot studio, there is access to the rooftop which includes a pool and skyline vistas. The neighborhood has a variety of interesting backgrounds from industrial looks, bridges, wall art, tree lined streets, red brick buildings, as well as other textural and colorful walls. The building has a gym and yoga studio for active shots. There is also access to the use of a cyc for an additional charge.
Chris is willing to do whatever it takes to get the best shot, whether it's running or skiing backwards, or hanging out of a car. He is always excited to try something unique and innovative, so if you're up for something cool, let's talk!
